Shikra London was inspired by my grandparents. Their stories, their style, their spirit. This brand is a love letter to everywhere we’ve called home.
Growing up, my grandfather gave each of us a nickname. He called my cousin Shikra, a bird that soars across Asia and Africa, and the name stayed with me. It came to mean freedom, fluidity, and the beauty of cultural connection.
Our Journey
I'm Prinola, the founder of Shikra London. I grew up in South Africa, a fifth-generation Indian. My family's story runs from India to South Africa to London, and I grew up surrounded by my grandmother's silks and sarees, worn only on special occasions and saved the rest of the time.
I spent years in banking in London before I finally said yes to the brand I'd been building my whole life.
Our Vision
